The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence—it is to act with yesterday’s logic.” – Peter Drucker

We often speak of readiness as if it were a checklist—something to complete, set aside, and revisit only when the alarm bells ring. But true resilience is not built through routine; it is cultivated through pre-emptive thinking and a shift in how we learn, decide, and act together.

In a world where predictability is the exception, the real challenge lies not in spotting the next disruption, but in strengthening our ability to respond to the unexpected—in coordination with others.

The National Resolution Symposium (NRS) 2025 is where that readiness takes root. It brings together industry

leaders, regulators, resolution authorities, and academics to explore the evolving challenges facing the financial sector—amid growing uncertainty, shifting policies, technological disruption, and deepening interconnectedness.

“Precaution Over Reaction: Harvesting Readiness in an Uncertain World”—the theme of NRS 2025—underscores how institutions can build resilience through effective resolution planning, including the strategic use of transfer mechanisms in both business-as-usual and crisis scenarios.

NRS 2025 will be a forum where ideas converge, assumptions are tested, and readiness is forged through immersive simulations and collaborative dialogue.

Let’s shape the next chapter of financial system resilience—together.

The Muzakarah (intellectual discourse) on Failure Resolution of Islamic Financial Institutions serves as a platform for discussing and deliberating the development of Shariah-compliant resolution approaches. Organised to identify and address the challenges in ensuring the orderly resolution of Islamic banks, the Muzakarah brings together members of the financial industry’s Shariah fraternity for thoughtful exchange and collaboration.

Transferability of Investment Account (IA) Products

A key feature of Islamic banking is the offering of Investment Account (IA) products. While these products differ from conventional banking offerings, discussions on their transferability to other Islamic banks remain limited. This session focuses on evaluating the current features of IA products and exploring their potential transferability, while proposing Shariah-compliant mechanisms to ensure such transfers adhere to Shariah principles.
